Limited Government
Securing Freedom Through Restraint in the United Kingdoms of Tikar
As we build the United Kingdoms of Tikar (UKT), we do so with a clear understanding: the purpose of government is to protect freedom, not to replace it. Our foundational approach is rooted in the principle of limited government, a model that ensures the state only performs functions it is uniquely suited for, while leaving everything else to free citizens, private enterprise, and local communities.
Too many African governments have collapsed under the weight of doing too much, running farms, controlling prices, owning factories, even regulating speech. The result has been widespread inefficiency, corruption, and a population left disempowered. In UKT, we reject that model. Instead, we will establish a government that does only what is essential, and does it well.
National Defense Only
The primary role of government is to defend its people against foreign enemies. That means our armed forces will be designed to protect sovereignty, not to interfere in internal politics or business. We will build a professional defense system that leverages technology and partnerships, avoiding wasteful state-run defense spending. Anything government does typically costs twice as much as if done by private enterprise. We will not fall into that trap.
Protecting Citizens from Coercion
Your right to your home, your safety, and your dignity will be protected from violation by other citizens. If someone breaks into your home or threatens your family, the government must respond swiftly. Too often, governments fail at this because they are bloated with responsibilities they should not have. UKT will focus on justice, not overreach.
Defining the Rules
Society needs clear rules: What is private property? Where does your ownership end? If a drone flies 10 feet above your roof, has it invaded your space? These are not philosophical questions; they are legal necessities. The government will define such boundaries with precision, enabling trust and economic development.
Enforcing the Rules with Justice
The final role of government is to provide a judicial system that is independent, honest, and swift. This is the bedrock of accountability. Even the government itself must be subject to the same law as every citizen.
In UKT, our government will be lean, principled, and accountable, not a master, but a servant of the people. That is how liberty survives. That is how nations rise.
